If you have good leadership qualities and you can handle pressure positively then this job may be a perfect fit for your career. As a construction manager, you should be able to read the blueprints and must be well aware of the small technicalities on a construction site. You will be closely associated with architects and engineers at the construction site and should be able to understand the construction related charts. You will be responsible to schedule and coordinate the processes in a manner that the project gets complete within the estimated time. You will be working as a bridge between the staff and labor working on a site and the higher management. You should be able to negotiate with the contractors and sub-contractors effectively.
Hiring and training of new staff.
Reporting work progress of the staff working on the site.
Estimating the cost and budget for the project.
Evaluating performance of the employees on a site.
Coordinating with architects and engineers.
Making sure that labor and other staff is meeting the deadline of the project.
Making schedules and reports on a weekly basis and analyzing the difficulties occurring on the site.
Providing adequate solutions for the issues of staff and labor.
Making sure that all the work is done by following the legal procedures and compliance.
Bachelor degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
Masters in Business Administration will be a plus point.
Experience in working as a Construction Manager would be preferred.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Time Management skills.
Quick decision making skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
