Job Overview

We are looking to hire an individual for the post of General Counsel in our Legal Department. 

You should ensure that all company operations are being carried out as per the law and offer counsel on legal issues. You should also provide legal advice and act as a legal representative of our company. 

You need to provide effective suggestions on the company’s strategies and monitor the effects of external factors. As a General Counsel, you will be involved in complicated transactions and negotiating important contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the company’s policies and procedures.

• Provide detailed legal guidance to the staff on all matters that affect the company

• Ensure compliance in the business with the applicable laws and regulations.

• Evaluate the involved risks in advance.

• Analyze our current risk management techniques and procedures.

• Find possible solutions for the company’s legal issues.

• Monitor the cases filed against or on behalf of the company.

• Coordinate with all the stakeholders.

• Maintain relations of trust and respect with stakeholders.

• Deal with complex issues related to the law.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from accredited, top-tier law school.

• Proven 3 years of experience working as a General Counsel, Legal Counsel along with Corporate Attorney or a similar role.

• Outstanding legal knowledge (corporate law, labor laws, etc).

• Ability to develop strategies and policies in compliance with applicable laws.

• Understanding of legal software such as Clio, MyCase or Case box.

• Ability to forecast legal issues and risks.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask

• Strong analytical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Customer-oriented individual and an outstanding problem-solver.

• Attention to detail for accuracy.
