Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and efficient Tile Setter to be a part of our Construction team. You should be able to coordinate with clients and help fulfill their tiling requirements. You should have complete knowledge of various types of tiles available in the market and different installation techniques used.

You should be able to review the surface area and make design suggestions. Moreover, you should provide the client with an appropriate project completion timeline. Besides installing tiles/marbles, you should also clean the area pre and post-installation.

To perform this job role, you should display good physical fitness and the willingness to work at flexible hours. In addition to this, you should own good negotiation skills. Your ability to manage your time effectively and multitask is vital to this job role.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with clients and understanding their tiling requirements

• Cutting and shaping tiles/marbles using hand and power tools

• Aligning and positioning tiles as the specified pattern

• Ensuring that the tiles are positioned evenly

• Polishing and surfacing marbles and granites for a smoother surface

• Cleaning and preparing titling surface 

• Creating decorative tile designs in bathroom, kitchen, and garden area

• Ensuring no tile breakage or any other damage during installation

• Measuring and marking the surface precisely before beginning work

• Reviewing the tiling area and providing clients with appropriate quotes and completion timeline

• Applying tiling grout and cement while arranging tiles

• Cleaning the titling area after installation 

• Reviewing and ordering stock supplies

• Undertaking post-installation checks

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• Proven work experience in the Construction industry

• Familiarity with power and hand tools like Ceramic Tile Cutter, Bandsaw, and Air Compressor

• Knowledge of various titling designs and techniques

• Understanding of different tiles available in the market, such as porcelain tiles, glass tiles, and metal tiles

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work for long, flexible hours and on weekends

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects

• Having an eye for detail

• Good mathematical and negotiation skills

• Ability to manage time effectively

• Ability to offer increased customer satisfaction
