Job Overview 

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tool and Die Maker to be a part of our Construction team. You should be able to measure, cut, and shape metal parts and blocks. You should be able to review technical drawings and determine the metal shapes and tolerances. 

Besides, you should be able to use various hand and machine tools to fill, grind, and drill metal parts. Your analytical skills will be helpful in checking the finished metal parts for any defects and deformities. Moreover, you should also be able to perform regular tests on the finished tools to ascertain their quality. 

As a Tool and Die Maker, you should be familiar with various CAD software. You should also display excellent mechanical and technical skills. In addition to this, you should be willing to travel to different locations and work for long, flexible hours.

Responsibilities 

• Reading and analyzing blueprints and technical drawings 

• Determining metal shapes and tolerances 

• Preparing an outline of the work template before beginning with work 

• Measuring and fabricating metal parts 

• Marking, cutting, and shaping metal parts and blocks to the specified dimensions 

• Filling, grinding, and drilling metals using machine tools 

• Inspecting tool and die parts before assembling 

• Ensuring that the finished dies and tools are free from any defects and deformities 

• Using CAD software to create design templates 

• Performing regular tests to check the quality of the finished tools 

• Ensuring that the work area is kept clean and safe at all times 

Requirements 

• High school diploma or GED 

• Proven work experience as a Tool and Die Maker, Metal Fabricator , or a similar role in the Construction industry 

• Knowledge of CAD software like TinkerCAD, AutoCAD, and Solidworks 

• Familiarity with tools such as calipers, micrometers, grinders, and lathes 

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints 

• Excellent mechanical and technical skills 

• Good communication and interpersonal skills 

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills 

• Having an eye for detail 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively 

• Highly motivated individual 

• Ability to work for long hours and in extreme weather conditions 

• Ability to offer excellent customer service
