Job Overview 

Our Construction company is looking for a Welding Inspector to be a part of our team. You should be able to handle and oversee the company’s welding activities. As a part of your job role, you will be communicating with clients to understand their requirements. Besides, you should be able to keep them updated with the work progress and provide approximate work completion timelines.  

In addition to this, you should be able to oversee the Welders and provide them with necessary welding specifications. You should have an excellent eye for detail and the ability to check the welds for  cracks and spatter. You should ensure that the Welders follow safety and health protocols at all times. 

As a Welding Inspector, you should possess excellent knowledge of various welding techniques. Also, you should display good physical dexterity. Moreover, you should ensure that the work site remains clean and free of any harmful materials.

Responsibilities 

• Communicating with clients and noting down their welding requirements 

• Providing the welding specifications and other instructions to the Welders 

• Examining completed welds for quality  

• Checking whether the equipment used is in proper working order 

• Ensuring that the work is completed on time and as per the instructions provided 

• Suggesting and demonstrating new/alternative welding techniques 

• Reviewing the work area to ensure that it is free of any harmful materials and equipment 

• Implementing and checking adherence to health and safety standards at all times 

• Preparing and presenting an accurate and detailed report of the on-going projects 

• Inspecting metal joints for any hidden cracks 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field 

• Proven work experience in the Construction industry as a Welding Inspector  

• Complete knowledge of various welding techniques like MIG welding, gas welding, and TIG welding 

• Familiarity with health/safety protocols and industry standards 

• Strong technical and mechanical skills 

• Good time management and organizational skills 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Good communication and interpersonal skills 

• Excellent leadership skills 

• Detail-oriented and highly motivated individual 

• Ability to offer improved customer service
