As a Dean of Students, you will be responsible for creating and implementing department goals, policies, budgets, and working procedures. You will also be responsible for controlling the budget for all the college activities.
In addition to this, you should have excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask efficiently. You should also have a sound knowledge of higher education institution policies. Furthermore, you should have prior work experience as a Dean of Students or a similar role in any educational institute.

Managing the student's budget for all the educational activities.
Serving as a liaison between college administrators and student organizations.
Preparing and implementing educational policies and goals.
Offering support to the students, staff, and instructors.
Maintaining files of all student activities, meetings, and disciplinary issues.
Monitoring struggling students in the classes and offering performance improvement suggestions.
Organizing new student orientation sessions and activities.
Overseeing the student's attendance and discipline records.
Preparing annual statistical reports.
Referring the students to the appropriate Counselor.
Approving the students travel within the department.
Handling the emergency situations with respect to students.
Adhering to all the rules and regulations of the educational institute.
Masters or Doctoral degree in Education Administration or a similar field.
Proven work experience as a Dean of Students or a related job position in the Education industry.
Extensive understanding and knowledge of higher education institution policies.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
Experience in investigating students, staff, and instructors' complaints.
Illustrate the ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Budgeting software.
Ability to maintain a positive working environment.
Good time management skills.
Excellent presentation and people skills.
Ability to deal with multiple personalities.
Outstanding ability to work under zero or minimal supervision.
