Our Educational institute is in search of a Graduate Teaching Assistant to be a part of our team. You will be responsible for assisting in gathering teaching materials. Besides, you should also be able to prepare and present tutorials, seminars, and lectures. You will also be responsible for assisting in planning and designing the curriculum.  

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you should be able to assess the students’ performances and grade them accordingly. Also, you should be able to perform basic administrative tasks as and when required. Your job responsibilities will also include taking classroom attendances, leading laboratory practicals and ensuring adherence to the prescribed learning objectives. 

To be able to perform in this job role, you should have excellent teaching and presentation skills. In addition to this, you should be approachable and have a patient personality. You should be able to stand for long hours and manage your time effectively.  A candidate who is highly motivated and creative will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities 

• Preparing and presenting tutorials, seminars, and lectures to the students 

• Gathering and developing appropriate teaching materials 

• Ensuring that the teaching contents adhere to the learning objectives 

• Assessing students’ performances and providing feedback 

• Assisting in designing the curriculum 

• Preparing lecture presentations 

• Grading students and maintaining accurate records of the same 

• Taking students’ classroom attendance 

• Discussing students’ performances with parents and suggesting improvements 

• Providing one-on-one discussions and hands-on exercises to the students 

• Attending staff meeting and participating in training sessions whenever needed 

• Leading laboratory practical sessions and demonstrating the correct use of equipment 

• Performing basic administrative duties as and when required 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline 

• 3-5 years of work experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Teacher , or a similar role in a reputed educational institute 

• Complete knowledge of the educational policies and guidelines 

• Excellent teaching and presentation skills 

• Good time management and organizational skills 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Ability to conduct in-depth research 

• Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively 

• Displaying an approachable and patient personality
