Our Educational Department is interested in hiring a talented Piano Teacher. As a Piano Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching the students to play the piano. You will also be responsible for training students for live performances, events, and concerts.  

Besides training and assessing the students, you should be giving them constructive feedback on their performance. You should be able to explain various piano techniques and musical fundamentals.  

Prior work experience as a Piano Teacher or a similar job position will be an added advantage for the candidates. You should possess extraordinary communication skills and the ability to manage the classroom.

Responsibilities  

• Planning out lessons based on student's understanding.  

• Explaining to the students the importance of proper posture while playing any musical instrument.  

• Discussing the details of the lesson with the students beforehand.  

• Teaching the student's music theory and their fundamentals.  

• Determining the skills level of each student.  

• Providing the students with the necessary learning materials.  

• Teaching them how to play the piano.  

• Assessing students' performance and giving them feedback.  

• Recording the student's music and noting down the mistakes.  

• Encouraging students to listen to their music recordings.  

• Organizing group rehearsals and performances.  

• Paying extra attention to the struggling students.  

• Preparing students to play piano in front of a live audience.  

• Maintaining student's attendance and grades.  

• Performing various administrative duties as and when required.  

• Staying updated with the latest trends in the music industry.  

Requirements  

• Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field.  

• 2 years of working experience in any educational institution as a Piano Teacher, Music Teacher, or a similar position.  

• A valid music teaching certificate or license is mandatory.  

• Knowledge and experience of various piano techniques.  

• Outstanding understanding of the composition process.  

• Good knowledge of melody, rhythm, pitch, and other fundamentals of music.  

• Ability to decipher different musical notations.  

• Ability to communicate efficiently with the students.  

• Ability to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the students.  

• Excellent classroom management skills.  

• Amazing organizational and time management skills.
