Job Overview 

We are looking for a knowledgeable Chemical Technician to be a part of our Engineering team. You will be responsible for performing various lab experiments to determine chemical compositions. Besides, you will also be coordinating your day-to-day activities and taking instructions from the Chemical Engineer.  

As a part of your job role, you should be able to create technical reports, charts, and graphs. Moreover, you should be able to keep a track of the equipment and materials inventories. Your analytical and troubleshooting abilities will prove useful in identifying and solving any issues at hand. 

To perform in this job role, you should have a complete knowledge of the chemical processes and dynamics. Furthermore, you should also be mindful of the safety procedures. You should be able to clean and sterilize the equipment and ensure hygiene of the work stations at all times.

Responsibilities 

• Taking instructions and specifications from the Chemical Engineer and other researchers 

• Setting the lab equipment for various experiments, analysis, and tests 

• Assisting in the preparation of chemical solutions and overseeing the chemical processing stage 

• Ensuring that the lab equipment is sterilized and the work station is kept clean at all times 

• Reviewing and offering improvement suggestions on the chemical production process 

• Updating and maintaining the record of various test results 

• Keeping a check on the materials inventories and placing order for more as and when needed 

• Creating charts and graphs as and when required 

• Troubleshooting any issues in the chemical process 

• Coordinating in the research of production and manufacturing processes 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field 

• Proven work experience in the Engineering department as a Chemical Technician or a similar role 

• Complete knowledge of chemical processes, fluid dynamics, and lab safety procedures 

• Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills 

• Excellent mathematical and technical skills 

• Good time management and organizational skills 

• Having an eye for detail 

• Good communication skills 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
