Job Overview 

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Chief Engineer to join us. You will be responsible to lead the engineering department and oversee the completion of various projects. You should also be able to review the project requirements, costs, and accordingly devise a budget. Besides, you should be able to evaluate technical drawings and assign project goals.  

In addition to this, you should be able to train the team members and communicate project objectives to them. You should also be able to perform quality control checks. You should also be able to oversee the equipment installation process. Your strong communication and negotiation skills will be helpful when dealing with clients.  

As a Chief Engineer, you should have complete knowledge of various engineering principles and techniques. Furthermore, you should also hold a valid engineering license. You should also possess quick decision-making skills and the ability to handle stressful situations. A candidate with the knowledge of recent advancements in the engineering field will be preferred.

Responsibilities 

• Supervising and overseeing the completion of all engineering projects 

• Analyzing and calculating the material and labor costs for various projects 

• Reviewing and approving project designs and budgets 

• Communicating the project objectives and delegating tasks to the team members 

• Conducting staff meetings and training sessions 

• Overseeing equipment installation processes 

• Scheduling and performing quality control checks 

• Preparing and presenting product engineering reports 

• Assigning long and short-term project goals 

• Evaluating engineering blueprints 

• Interviewing and recruiting Engineers 

• Ensuring that the projects are completed on time and within budget 

• Negotiating project terms and conditions with clients 

• Analyzing and resolving any disputes amongst the team members 

Requirements 

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field 

• 5-7 years of work experience as a Chief Engineer, Project Engineer, or a similar position in the Engineering department 

• Holding a valid engineering license 

• Complete knowledge of various engineering principles and techniques 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

• Good time management and organizational skills 

• Excellent leadership skills 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Good communication skills 

• Willingness to travel to different engineering sites 

• Ability to work in extreme conditions 

• Ability to handle stressful situations
