Our healthcare department is looking for an experienced candidate to join us as a Child Psychiatrist.

Your primary responsibility will be promoting the emotional well-being of a child and adolescent. As an ideal candidate, you will be responsible for preventing and treating mental and abnormal disorders in a patient.

Responsibilities

• Meeting and observing children’s conditions.

• Inquiring with the patient’s family about the patient’s medical history.

• Discussing family background for better perception.

• Evaluating emotional and behavioral disorders.

• Finding out the nature of mental disorders.

• Devising a treatment plan for the patient.

• Prescribing medication based on medical tests.

• Speaking with the patients about their problems.

• Assisting the patients in changing their behavior.

• Monitoring the effects of the medications.

• Informing the patient’s conditions to the responsible adult.

• Educating the patient’s family members for support.

• Utilizing therapies and counseling as and when required.

• Following up with the patient.

• Maintaining patient’s information for future use.

• Collaborating with a Psychologist or General Psychiatrist if needed.

• Adhering to the rules and regulations of medicare.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or a related field.

• 3 years of general Psychiatry residency and 2 years of CAP specialty training.

• Proven working experience as a Child Psychiatrist or a similar position in the Healthcare department.

• A valid license as a Child Psychiatrist.

• Excellent knowledge of normal and abnormal developmental stages of children.

• Working knowledge of psychiatric disorders.

• An excellent communicator with the ability to listen carefully and patiently.

• Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.

• A critical thinker.

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

• Excellent observation skills.

• Ability to manage time effectively.
