Job Overview

We are looking for an efficient and productive Shift Manager for our Hospitality Department.

Your role will be to provide managerial services in the absence of the manager and provide daily reports. In addition to this, you are required to manage the staff and their performance. You should also provide higher quality customer service to our existing as well as potential customers.

You should also monitor the inventory and provide excellent customer support services. You should resolve any queries regarding reservations and ensure the safety and hygiene of the hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a daily shift restaurant operations summary report.

  • Maintain healthy relations with the staff and crew members.

  • Manage reservations and special dining arrangements for occasions such as parties, meetings, etc.

  • Determine daily targets and earnings.

  • Evaluate the performance of the staff and train them if required.

  • Handle all complaints and queries and resolve them effectively. 

  • Ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Check the availability of the staff and assign tasks to the staff accordingly.

  • Assist General Manager with the recruitment and training of staff.

  • Ensure that the quality of the services is maintained and is consistent.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or relevant field.

  • 2 years of the supervisory dining experience as a Shift Manager in a food service environment.

  • Proficient knowledge of hotel operations.

  • Excellent team management skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage complaints with professionalism.

  • Ability to lead and mentor the team.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong organization and analytical skills.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Customer-oriented individual and an outstanding problem-solver.

  • Good numerical abilities.

  • A keen eye on details for accuracy.

  • Good time management skills.
