Job Overview  

Our team is looking for a patient and hardworking candidate to join us as a Wait staff. You will be responsible for greeting the guests and offering them the food menus. You will also be responsible for advising food items to the customers based on their demands.  

As a Wait Staff, you should be serving the food on time and accepting payments from the customer. Past experience as a Wait Staff or a similar role will be advantageous to the candidate. You should also possess sound knowledge and understanding of operating a cash register.  

Ideally, you should have an excellent ability to provide customer service to the guests. You should also have good communication skills and the ability to pay close attention to details.

Responsibilities  

  • Escorting the guests to their table.  

  • Providing and explaining the food menu to the guests.  

  • Taking orders from the guests.  

  • Recommending dishes based on their preferences.  

  • Making sure the table is clean and tidy.  

  • Ensuring the food is served in a timely manner.  

  • Ensuring the quality and presentation of the food before serving.  

  • Attending the tables as and when requested.  

  • Handling the customers complaints and issues.  

  • Offering excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.  

  • Working in collaboration with the team members.  

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.  

  • Adhering to food, sanitation, and safety standards.  

  • Accepting payments from the customers.  

  • Handling any special requests made by the customers.  

Requirements  

  • High school diploma or GED.  

  • Proven work experience as a Wait Staff, Server, or a similar role in the Hospitality industry.  

  • Knowledge and experience using restaurant ordering systems.  

  • Ability to offer excellent customer service.  

  • Active listening skills.  

  • Ability to work for long working hours.  

  • Knowledge of cash register.  

  • Ability to work in a team environment.  

  • Ability to solve problems promptly.  

  • Good communication and planning skills.  

  • Outstanding attention to detail.  

  • A customer oriented and patient individual.  

  • Ability to multitask and take criticism.   

  • Excellent conflict resolving and decision-making abilities.
