Job Overview 

Our law firm is in search of an Arbitrator to be a part of our team. In this job role, you should have complete knowledge of the legal procedures and practices. You should be able to communicate with both the parties and help them arrive at a mutually agreeable decision. Besides, you should be able to gather evidence and analyze the same.  

You should be able to schedule meetings with the parties and help them establish an open communication. In addition to this, you should also be able to explain the arbitration process to the parties. Moreover, your ability to apply relevant laws and policies to each dispute at hand will be advantageous.  

To perform well in this job role, you should display the ability to make sound judgements and hold strong work ethics. Furthermore, you also possess excellent troubleshooting skills. Having a proven work experience in a law firm will give you an upper hand.

Responsibilities 

  • Helping establish a mutual agreement in disputes  

  • Hearing the parties involved and clarifying the argument details 

  • Explaining the arbitration process to the parties involved 

  • Scheduling appointments with both parties 

  • Gathering and analyzing documents and other relevant records 

  • Interviewing both the parties and stakeholders involved in the dispute 

  • Promoting open discussion between both the parties 

  • Making a nonbonding decision after hearing both the sides 

  • Resolving disputes by offering legal advice or appropriate solutions 

  • Preparing, explaining, and guiding the parties with terms of settlement 

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of any sensitive information 

  • Settling disputes by analyzing and applying relevant laws, procedures, and policies 

  • Presiding over neutral evaluations and executive minitrials 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field 

  • Proven work experience as an Arbitrator or a similar role in a reputed law firm or Legal industry 

  • Complete knowledge of legal procedures and practices 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Having an eye for detail and a listening ear 

  • Good time management and organizational skills 

  • Ability to work at flexible hours and travel to different locations 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to maintain a calm composure at all times 

  • Ability to manage stressful situations 

  • Ability to offer improved customer service
