Job Overview 

We are looking for an Air Traffic Controller to help us monitor and regulate air and ground traffic. You will be responsible for staying up-to-date about the weather conditions or any other obstacles causing possible flight delays. You will also be responsible for handling emergency situations and alerting the team members on the same.  

You should also be able to prepare and issue landing and take-off instructions to the Pilots. As an Air Traffic Controller, you should be familiar with various traffic controlling equipment. The job role will require you to be focused and alert at all times. Also, you should have excellent analytical and decision-making skills. 

To be able to perform in this job role, you should have a valid FAA air traffic controller certification and proven work experience in this field. Besides, you should be able to handle stressful situations and display strong mathematical skills. A candidate who can perform well independently as well as collaboratively will be preferred.

Responsibilities 

• Checking weather updates and monitoring air traffic 

• Understanding and providing information on flight delays and runway openings and closures 

• Addressing any customer queries and emergency situations 

• Staying up-to-date about the estimated arrival and departure time 

• Coordinating with the air traffic control centers about possible delays 

• Inspecting radios, computers, and radars and ensuring that they are in proper working order 

• Alerting the team members about any emergencies 

• Maintaining and analyzing detailed reports on flight plans 

• Preparing and issuing landing and take-off instructions to Pilots 

• Monitoring aircraft movements using radars and visual references 

• Regulating ground traffic and ensuring the safety of passengers as well as vehicles 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Automobile Engineering, Physics, or a related field 

• Holding a valid FAA air traffic controller certification 

• Proven work experience as an Air Traffic Controller or a similar position in the Logistics industry 

• Familiarity with air traffic monitoring equipment such as radar, computer, and radio 

• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Good time management and organizational skills 

• Having an eye for detail 

• Excellent mathematical skills 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively 

• Ability to handle stressful situations
