Job Overview  

We are looking for a hardworking candidate to join us as Mover on an urgent basis. As a Mover, you should be able to pack the customer's furniture and delivery them accordingly. You should also be able to make use of various lifting tools and equipment.  

To perform this job successfully, you should possess extraordinary knowledge of loading and unloading processes. You should also have good communication skills and the ability to lift heavy loads. In addition to this, you should be able to work in a team environment and able to solve customers' problems promptly.

Responsibilities  

• Preparing and packing the customer's furniture.  

• Making sure no items are damaged during transit.  

• Using lifting equipment to move the furniture from the store/buildings to the trucks.  

• Arranging items carefully in the truck so that everything fits in properly.  

• Unloading the items to the location as per the customer's request.  

• Writing the descriptions of each and every package in transit.  

• Checking the inventory and making sure all the items are delivered at the destination.  

• Providing the customers with the prices of the furniture and tentative time of delivery.  

• Resolving customers complaints and issues in a professional manner.  

• Cleaning any supplies or garbage left behind during the packing process.  

• Performing general vehicle maintenance as and when required.  

• Offering exceptional customer service and customer satisfaction.  

• Adhering to company safety standards and rules.   

Requirements  

• High school diploma or a GED.  

• Proven work experience as a Mover or a similar role in the Logistics industry.  

• A valid driver's license will be mandatory.  

• Experience in using lifting equipment such as ramps, pallet hacks, etc.  

• Knowledge of using hand and power tools.  

• Good physical stamina.  

• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 lbs.  

• Ability to work in a team.  

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.  

• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.  

• Ability to offer excellent customer service.  

• Good navigation skills.  

• A keen eye for details.  

• Good hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity.
