Our Logistics department is in search of a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join us as a Packager. You will be primarily responsible for packaging items for shipments as per the company’s standards. Besides, you should also be able to review the shipments and dispose the damaged ones. You should also be able to weigh and label the shipments.
You should also enter and review the shipment details. Moreover, you should be able to maintain and update a detailed record of all shipments. You will be responsible for keeping the work area clean and organized at all times. As part of the job role, you should also be able to assist with the loading and unloading of shipments.
To be able to perform in this job role, you should be detail-oriented and display excellent physical dexterity. In addition to this, you should be able to display good time management and organizational skills. A candidate with excellent customer service skills and the willingness to work for long hours will be considered.

Weighing and packing items for shipments
Labeling and checking shipment details
Ensuring that all packaging is done as per the company’s and industry’s standards
Examining and disposing defective items
Using and storing various packing materials such as glue, padding, and hand tools properly
Maintaining and updating a detailed record of all shipments
Keeping the work area clean and organized at all times
Assisting in loading and unloading of the shipments
Filling and reviewing the shipment details form
Sorting shipments in the correct shipment categories
Inspecting and cleaning shipment containers
High school diploma or GED
Proven work experience as a Packager, Packer, or a similar role in the Logistics department
Complete knowledge of the industry standards and safety regulations
Familiarity with various packaging materials and hand tools
Good time management and organizational skills
Having an excellent eye for detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated individual
Excellent physical dexterity
Willingness to work at long and flexible hours
Ability to provide excellent customer service
