Our company is hiring a detailed-oriented candidate to work as a Copy Editor for our Marketing department.
As a Copy Editor, your duties and responsibilities include -
Proofreading the content
Correcting grammatical and spelling errors.
Checking illustrations and images fit in the context.
Ensuring text has a logical structure.
Reworking on the content for improving readability.
Verifying the statistics and data mentioned in the content.
In addition to this, you should be executing an effective content strategy by working together with the Content Strategist. You should also be ensuring that you deliver projects on time with high-quality content.
Apart from this, you should possess extraordinary time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You should also be highly creative and always thinking with a strategic mindset. To be successful in this job role, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature or a related field.

Assisting in rewriting the content without damaging its original quality.
Proofreading the text and suggesting improvements in it.
Reworking on articles if required.
Checking for punctuation, spelling, and grammar mistakes and errors.
Writing catchy headlines as per the instructions.
Reviewing the manuscript for its completeness.
Making sure the content is as per the in-house style.
Ensuring accurate voice, flow, and clarity of the content.
Asking questions to the author as and when needed.
Ensuring that the illustrations are correct.
Adhering to the rules and regulations of the publication house.
Collaborating with Content Writers, Content Developer, and other fellow team members.
Coming up with creative ideas for content creation.
Making sure the content is published in a timely manner.
Staying abreast of the latest trends in content production.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Working experience as a Copy Editor or a similar position in the Marketing field.
Strong working knowledge in content editing and publishing.
Understanding of SEO guidelines.
Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Willingness to work for extended periods if needed.
Ability to deal with the authors in a professional manner.
Highly organized and creative individual.
A keen eye for detail for accuracy.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
An ability to manage time effectively.
Incredible verbal and written communication skills.
Amazing ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive information.
Excellent typing skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a stressful environment.
Strong work ethics.
