Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and creative Cinematographer to join our team. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and shooting various ads/films scenes across outdoor and indoor locations. You should be able to review locations to check for the weather conditions, natural lighting, and other environmental factors before shooting.

You should be technically sound and have the knowledge of various shooting equipment and tools. Besides, you should be able to handle the camera properly and ensure all equipment is kept in working order. You should be able to coordinate with the Director and other creative personnels to determine the shoot requirements. 

As a Cinematographer, you have to upgrade your skills and network to build industry connections constantly. In addition to this, you should be willing to travel to different locations and work for flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Searching available outdoor locations/studio for shoots

• Examining weather conditions before beginning shoots

• Discussing the visual approach for the shoot with the Director 

• Coordinating with the crew members for the selection of the right equipment for shooting 

• Deciding on the correct angle, lighting, and techniques

• Communicating costume requirements for the shoot with the Costume Designer

• Conducting make-up, hair, and styling test looks with the Makeup Artist and Personal Stylist

• Training and supervising the crew members

• Attending skill-building workshops and training sessions

• Ensuring that the Production team brings out the film mood

• Networking with industry professionals

• Ensuring that the filming equipment is in working order and stored properly post shoots

• Reviewing the film footage to ensure it is as per the desired outcome

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Filming, Production or a related field

• Proven work experience as a Cinematographer, Videographer, or a similar role in the Media Industry

• A certified course in Cinematography is desirable

• Complete knowledge of video editing software like iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro X

• Familiarity with cinematography tools like light meter, laser pointer, and gaffer's glass

• Highly passionate and creative individual

• Having a keen eye for detail

• Ability to work for long and flexible hours

• Willingness to travel to different locations

• Good time management and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Good technical skills

• Demonstrating good physical stamina
