Job Overview

Our company is looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join as an Editor in Chief for our Media team. You should manage all the content production in both digital and physical formats. 

As an Editor in Chief, you are responsibilities includes 

  • reviewing and editing all the content

  • Ensuring that written content is original content and plagiarism free

  • discussing and planning a proper publishing strategy

  • reviewing photographers as well as the images they click

  • implementing strategies to increase readership

You will be assisting in hiring as well as leading the editorial team. You will be responsible for

maintaining an effective and efficient workflow across the editorial staff. Furthermore, you will be

managing publication budgets along with Editorial board members. In addition to this, you will be also engaging in copywriting content for social media platforms.

In addition to this, you should have extraordinary communication skills as well as editorial skills. You should have prior experience working as a Managing Editor or Senior Editor. You should also hold an amazing ability to manage various tasks by prioritizing them.

  • Editing and proofreading content that is written for various platforms such as newspapers, magazines, and many more.

  • Preparing and developing efficient editorial strategies along with the Editorial Assistant.

  • Setting and managing the editorial budget as per the plan.

  • Representing the publication at various events, conferences, seminars, and social media platforms.

  • Writing short content pieces occasionally.

  • Helping in hiring Content Writers, Executive Editors as well as Editorial Assistants.

  • Maintaining a friendly and professional relationship with the staff members.

  • Coming up with innovative ideas to achieve the goals.

  • Managing day to day operations in an efficient and effective manner.

  • Supervising the content plagiarism and editing the content ensuring its original.

  • Approving layout and designs for social posts on a day to day basis.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, English, or a related field.

  • Work experience as an Editor in Chief, Managing Editor, or a similar position in the Media Industry.

  • Strong understanding of title editor tools such as Ginger, PaperGear, SlickWrite, and many others.

  • Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details for accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Ability to maintain a positive environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with phenomenal judgment skills.

  • Amazing ability to write in creative and innovative ways.

  • Excellent problem solving and networking skills.

  • Strong work ethics.

  • Great interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • A critical thinker.
