Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated Photographer Assistant to join our team. You will be working closely with the Photographer in handling day-to-day activities. You will be coordinating with the clients in understanding their photography needs. Besides, you should be able to look for indoor and outdoor photoshoot locations.

You should be able to communicate the camera and lighting requirements to the technicians and execute studio/location setups. Also, you should be able to get the photos edited in time from the Photo Editor. You should be able to handle any customer queries in a professional manner.

As a Photographer Assistant, you should be highly creative and have basic knowledge of various photography techniques. In addition to this, possessing basic photography and editing skills will work to your advantage. Moreover, you should be able to work at long and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Checking for potential locations for photoshoots

• Discussing and finalizing photoshoot dates with the clients

• Ensuring that the photoshoot locations are secure 

• Obtaining permits to use locations like hotels and halls

• Coordinating with the technicians to set up the studio 

• Assisting in setting up the camera and lighting equipment

• Helping clear the studio or outdoor locations of all the camera setup

• Communicating with clients to understand their photography needs and budget

• Coordinating all daily activities with the Photographer

• Ensuring timely collection of payments from clients and maintaining a receipt of the same

• Assigning photo editing tasks to the Photo Editor

• Handing over the edited and developed photos to clients on time

• Providing customer support as and when required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Photography or a related field

• Proven work experience as a Photographer Assistant or a similar role in the Media industry

• Highly creative and motivated individual 

• Familiarity with photo editing software like Lightroom and Adobe Sketch 

• Knowledge of different camera angles and lighting techniques

• Ability to work for long and flexible hours

• Displaying good physical strength

• Willingness to travel to different locations

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Having an eye for detail

• Basic technical and editing skills

• Ability to offer improved customer satisfaction
