We are looking for a Credit Specialist with an eye for detail and clean work background to join our Accounting firm. You will be responsible for providing the necessary financial help to clients and answer their credit/loan queries. You will be receiving, reviewing, and processing credit and loan applications.
In addition to this, you will be performing risk and financial analysis. You will also be monitoring defaulters and reporting them to the relevant department. Besides, you should also provide support to the Sales team in developing cross-selling opportunities and improvement measures.
Your other responsibilities include preparing annual financial reviews, client credit proposals, and comparing credit histories. You should comply with the Federal and State Laws and Regulations while performing your day-to-day duties.

Receiving and reviewing credit applications and loan requests
Checking the authenticity of supplementary paperwork and documentations
Monitoring financial track record and credit history of the client
Performing market research and financial risk assessment
Informing clients about their application status and extended credit amount
Negotiating repayment terms and loan interest rates with clients
Contacting and maintaining a database of regular defaulters
Undertaking loan approvals and credit underwriting
Coordinating with the Sales team in developing business development plans
Helping clients with document preparation and loan closing
Adhering to the Federal and State laws and regulations
Preparing annual financial reports and credit proposals
Determining client credit histories and worthiness
Identifying and reporting any suspicious or fraudulent activities
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
3+ years of experience as a Credit Officer or in a similar position in the Accounting department
Complete understanding of Federal and State laws and regulations
Familiarity with legal accounting practices and lending procedures
Basic knowledge of ERP systems
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality
Strong communication skills
Research-driven and customer-focused individual
Good decision-making skills
Excellent mathematical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Demonstrating critical thinking ability
