Job Overview                       

We are seeking an ideal candidate who is proficient in his work of carpentry. You will be involved in many construction works from making wooden frames, windows, doors and even cabinets to repairing the already installed material.

You are responsible for providing wooden structures and partitions for the building. You should be an expert in using hand and electrical tools for the installation of the wooden material. Your job includes building new materials or fixing the already installed ones. You should be able to read blueprints of the site so as to install materials in the right place.

Responsibilities

• Understand the requirements of the architect or engineer working on the site.

• Read blueprints and follow instructions accordingly.

• Follow safety rules and procedures.

• Fix and maintain the quality of the wooden structures and fixtures.

• Measure and cut the wooden carpentry materials using electrical hand and power tools.

• Have knowledge of the latest trends being followed and provide them with customer demand.

• Cut, shape and smooth lumber according to the necessary measurements.

• Building frameworks, staircase, cabinets siding, window frames and door using the raw wooden materials.

• Accurately lay out flooring's, roofing's, and drywall ensuring they are leveled.

• Repairing the structures and maintain all wooden structures.

• Install the cabinets, shelves and other furniture items as per the designated places.

• Construct and repair insulating concrete forms systems.

• To build scaffolding and other various construction structures.

Requirements       

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2+  years of experience working as a Carpenter on Construction projects or a similar role.

• Excellent knowledge of carpentry materials and techniques.

• Expert in using manual and electrical equipment such as hammers, saws, etc.

• Solid understanding of basic maths.

• Good communication skills.

• Ability to work in a team.

• Comply with safety guidelines.

• Ability to read and write in English.

• Good time management and leadership skills.

• A keen eye on details for accuracy.

• Exceptional problem solving abilities.

• A critical thinker.
