Job Overview 

Our Engineering department is in search of an Avionics Technician to be part of our team. You will be responsible for handling and ensuring the smooth functioning of various avionics equipment and electrical systems. Besides, you should also be able to perform various diagnostic tests to judge the efficiency of aircrafts and spacecrafts. 

You should also be able to remove and replace any faulty parts and components. Moreover, you should be able to coordinate your day-to-day tasks and report to the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. You should be able to maintain and update a record of all the repair work.  

As an Avionics Technician, you should be detail-oriented and display excellent physical dexterity. In addition to this, you should also have complete knowledge of the aviation safety procedures and techniques.

Responsibilities 

• Installing various avionics equipment and electrical systems 

• Testing the efficiency of avionics equipment and systems on various aircrafts and spacecrafts 

• Ensuring that all the avionics equipment is in proper working order before the aircraft takes off 

• Removing and repairing any faulty avionics equipment 

• Re-installing and assembling all electrical components 

• Performing various diagnostic tests on avionics equipment 

• Coordinating with the Technicians and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer when handling various electrical components 

• Maintaining and updating a detailed record of all the repair work conducted 

• Replacing malfunctioning parts or components 

• Maintaining a documentation of aircraft assemblies and systems 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Technology, Avionics, or a related field 

• Certification in Aviation Maintenance is mandatory 

• Holding a valid Federal Aviation Administration license   

• 3-5 years of work experience as an Avionics Technician or a similar role in the Engineering department 

• Complete understanding of aviation safety procedures and techniques 

• Familiarity with systems such as Autopilot, GPS, and RVSM 

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Good time management and organizational skills 

• Excellent physical dexterity 

• Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations 

• Good communication and interpersonal skills 

• Having a keen eye for detail 

• Ability to offer excellent customer service
