Job Overview 

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Firefighter to be a part of our team. You will be responsible for attending fire alarms and emergency calls. You will also be responsible for extinguishing fires and removing the causalities from the fire scene. Besides, you should be able to provide first aid and other medical procedures. 

As a Firefighter, you will also be responsible for inspecting the fire sites to identify potential causes. You should be able to clean the site of any debris and burnt items. You should also be able to operate and maintain the firefighting equipment in proper condition.  

To excel in this job, you should display excellent physical and mental fitness. Moreover, you should be able to work in extreme weather conditions and at irregular timings. In addition to this, you should be completely familiar with the various firefighting techniques.

Responsibilities 

• Responding to fire alarms in a timely manner 

• Extinguishing building, forest fires, or those caused due to an accident 

• Operating firefighting equipment correctly 

• Ensuring all rescue equipment are handled and stored in proper condition 

• Offering emergency medical services 

• Assisting in clearing any debris from the fire scene 

• Inspecting the fire site and burned items to find the cause of the fire 

• Preparing and submitting accurate reports upon site inspections 

• Cleaning and servicing the firefighting equipment on a regular basis 

• Educating general public on fire safety measures 

• Updating job skills by participating in fire drills and other safety and rescue programs 

• Quickly analyzing the fire scene before taking any action 

Requirements 

• High school diploma or equivalent 

• EMT certification is mandatory 

• Proven work experience in the Facilities industry as a Firefighter or a similar role 

• Complete knowledge of firefighting techniques such as fog attack technique, direct attack technique, and the combination attack technique 

• Familiarity with firefighting equipment like fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, and fire sprinklers 

• Understanding of CPR methods and other first aid procedures 

• Knowledge of the firefighting rules and guidelines 

• Excellent physical and mental strength 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 

• Having an eye for detail 

• Ability to maintain a calm composure at all times 

• A team player and ability to work independently 

• Willingness to travel to different locations 

• Ability to work for long, flexible hours and in extreme weather conditions 

• Ability to offer improved customer service
