Job Overview 

Our Legal firm is in search of a smart and experienced Criminal Lawyer to be a part of our team. You will be primarily responsible for handling and defending various crime cases. You should be able to conduct in-depth research and develop effective strategies to defend the case at hand. Besides, you should also be able to communicate with clients and advise them on various legal options. 

Your job responsibilities will also include gathering evidences and interrogating witnesses, suspects, and victims. Moreover, you should also be able to assist in drafting various legal documents and submit the same in the court. You should be willing to visit different locations and accompany Crime Scene Investigators and Police Officers as required.  

As a Criminal Lawyer, you should hold a valid license to practice and proven job knowledge. In addition to this, you should be detail-oriented and highly reliable individual. Your ability to handle stressful situations and strong critical thinking skills will be advantageous.

Responsibilities 

• Conducting in-depth research and thoroughly analyzing a case 

• Developing effective strategy to defend the case in court 

• Advising clients on various legal options 

• Representing clients at court trials and proceedings 

• Examining and presenting evidence in court to support the case proceedings 

• Drafting legal documents such as appeals, bails, and legal briefs 

• Negotiating plea appeals and settlements on behalf of the clients 

• Interrogating victims, witnesses, and suspects 

• Assisting the Crime Investigator as required 

• Gathering and verifying documents related to the case such as forensic reports and witness statements 

• Presenting a compelling defense in court 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Law 

• 3-5 years of work experience as a Criminal Lawyer or Lawyer in a reputed Legal firm 

• Holding a valid license to practice law 

• Complete knowledge of state and federal laws 

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills 

• Ability to conduct in-depth research 

• Good time management and organizational skills 

• Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual 

• Willingness to travel to different locations 

• Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain confidentiality 

• Ability to offer excellent customer service
