Job Overview 

We are looking for a proficient Transcriber to be a part of our team. You will be responsible for listening, interpreting, and developing texts from audio files. You should be able to translate the details accurately. Besides, you should be able to review the documents to check for any inconsistencies and grammatical errors. 

You should be able to complete and submit the transcribed documents on time for review.  Moreover, you should also consider any requests from clients pertaining to the formatting or notation requirements. Furthermore, you should have good typing and editing skills. 

As a Transcriber, you should have excellent listening skills and familiarity with various transcription software. In addition to this, you should be able to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information. Your ability to manage deadlines and a keen eye for detail will be advantageous.

Responsibilities 

  • Listening and interpreting audio recordings and tapes 

  • Translating the recorded audio hearings into text documents 

  • Reviewing the transcribed draft to check for accuracy and consistency 

  • Identifying and rectifying any inconsistencies and errors 

  • Submitting the transcriptions for review 

  • Adhering to the industry practices and confidentiality guidelines at all times 

  • Considering any formatting or notation requests from clients 

  • Completing and submitting all transcriptions on time 

  • Correcting any errors in the transcriptions after obtaining feedback from clients 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field 

  • Proven work experience as a Transcriber, Speech Writer, or a similar role in the Marketing industry 

  • Complete knowledge of the industry rules, regulations, and confidentiality guidelines 

  • Familiarity with transcription tools and software such as OTranscribe, Express Scribe, and The FTW Transcriber 

  • Excellent listening and interpreting skills 

  • Good time management and organizational skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools 

  • Excellent command over language 

  • Impressive writing skills 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Highly reliable and motivated individual 

  • Having an eye for detail 

  • Good typing and reading skills 

  • Ability to manage strict deadlines 

  • Ability to offer excellent customer service
