Job Overview  

We are looking forward to hiring an imaginative and dedicated individual to join us as a Movie Producer.  

As a Movie Producer, you are responsible for making a movie by researching ideas. You will also be responsible for hiring the Director, Line of Producers, Actors, etc. that are required for a movie. In addition to this, you should be able to manage the entire budget of the movie.  

To succeed in this job role, you should possess extraordinary ability to work in a stressful environment. You should also have excellent time management skills and strong work ethics.

Responsibilities  

  • Formulating and researching movie ideas and concepts.  

  • Finding appropriate movie scripts.  

  • Obtaining the film rights from the script owner.  

  • Hiring a line of Producers to manage the entire movie scheduling processes.  

  • Sourcing finance and manage the budget of the movie.  

  • Managing all the logistics and business operations.  

  • Hiring a Director and other key creative personnel for the movie.  

  • Preparing appropriate movie schedules.  

  • Attending the post-production process of the movie.  

  • Working in collaboration with the team members to discuss characters and scenes.  

  • Troubleshooting any problem that occurs in the production unit.  

  • Holding regular meetings with the Director,  Producer, and other team members.  

  • Understanding legal duties in maintaining the crew's health and safety.  

  • Ensuring the movie crew members meet the code of practice and regulations.  

  • Reviewing the final movie edits.  

Requirements  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Films, Journalism, Acting, or a similar degree.  

  • Proven work experience as a Movie Producer, or a similar role in the Media industry.  

  • A professional portfolio will be mandatory.  

  • Demonstrate the ability to work indoor and outdoor setups.  

  • Ability to solve problems efficiently.  

  • Ability to work in a stressful environment.  

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.  

  • Ability to work on holidays as well as on weekends.  

  • Excellent business and management experience.  

  • A hardworking and creative individual.  

  • Ability to handle financial transactions.  

  • Ability to work in a team environment.  

  • Good organizational and time management skills.
