Job Overview 

We are looking for an Equipment Operator to be a part of our construction company. You should be familiar with operating various heavy equipment like cranes, forklifts, and bulldozers. Besides, you should also assist in loading and unloading materials. You should be able to conduct regular inspections and ensure that the equipment remains in working order. 

You should be able to adhere to the construction guidelines and safety protocols at all times. Furthermore, you should ensure that the worksite is cleared of any debris and construction materials. You should communicate any site accidents and injuries to the Site Supervisor.  

To perform well in this job role, you should be detail-oriented with excellent physical dexterity. Moreover, you should be able to work at long hours and in extreme weather conditions. You should also be able to inspect the equipment and conduct minor repairs.

Responsibilities 

• Loading and unloading construction materials like rocks and debris 

• Operating heavy equipment like cranes and earthmovers according to the placement and removal of materials 

• Identifying and performing minor equipment repairs  

• Notifying and placing orders for equipment part replacements  

• Adhering to the safety protocols at all times 

• Communicating any injuries and accidents to the Construction Project Manager and Site Supervisor 

• Maintaining the equipment in proper working condition 

• Maintaining a record of daily tasks 

• Ensuring that the work sites are clean and safe 

• Inspecting tires, controls, and fuels on a regular basis 

• Lift and arrange construction materials as per the requirement 

Requirements 

• High school diploma or GED 

• Proven work experience as an Equipment Operator, Crane Operator, or a similar role in the Construction industry 

• Complete knowledge in operating heavy machineries like boom lift, forklift, bulldozer, and telehandler 

• Ability to operate both manual and automatic equipment 

• Excellent physical dexterity 

• Detail-oriented and highly motivated individual 

• Knowledge of industry safety procedures and guidelines 

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Ability to work for long, flexible hours and in extreme weather conditions 

• Good communication and interpersonal skills 

• A team player and ability to work independently
