Job Overview 

Our Construction company is looking for a motivated and skilled Industrial Truck and Tractor Operator to join us immediately. Your day-to-day activities will include operating heavy machinery and handling objects as per the Supervisor’s instructions. Besides, you should also be able to drive trucks to safely transport materials from one place to another. 

As an Industrial Truck and Tractor Operator, you should be able to inspect the machinery on a timely basis. Also, you should schedule servicing and maintenance appointments as and when necessary. You should also assist the Construction Workers in manually loading and unloading of materials. 

To perform in this job role, you should display excellent physical and mental stamina. In addition to this, you should hold a valid driver's license and preferably a professional apprenticeship in operating heavy machinery. Your ability to work at flexible, long hours and in extreme weather conditions will be advantageous.

Responsibilities 

• Operating the vehicle as per the instructions from the Supervisor 

• Performing tasks that involve loading, lifting, and moving of materials 

• Assisting in waste disposal by coordinating with the waste disposal teams 

• Operating heavy machinery and controlling levers when lifting and transporting materials 

• Regularly inspecting trucks and tractors and ensuring that they are in proper working condition 

• Performing minor repairs and scheduling timely servicing appointments 

• Properly stacking and securing materials before transporting them 

• Wearing appropriate safety gears while at work 

• Adhering to the health and safety regulations at all times 

• Assisting in manual loading and unloading of materials 

Requirements 

• High School Diploma or GED 

• Proven work experience as an Industrial Truck and Tractor Operator, Crane Operator , or a similar role in the Construction industry 

• Holding a valid driver's license 

• Ability to load and unload heavy objects 

• Excellent knowledge and experience in handling and operating heavy machinery and vehicles 

• Good communication and interpersonal skills 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Having a keen eye for detail 

• Excellent physical dexterity 

• Ability to work for long, flexible hours and in extreme weather conditions 

• Highly motivated and hardworking individual 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively 

• Displaying good multitasking abilities 

• Ability to offer excellent customer service
