We are looking for an efficient and hardworking Kitchen Porter to be a part of our team. You will be directly reporting to the Kitchen Manager. At all times, you will be responsible for keeping the kitchen surfaces, sinks, and walls clean and sanitized. In addition, , you should be able to sweep and mop the kitchen floor at the start and end of your shifts.
You will be coordinating your daily tasks with the Kitchen Assistant and assist the Cooks with meal preparations. Moreover, you should also be able to inspect the kitchen equipment for functionality. You will be in charge of receiving and organizing ingredients delivery as well.
As a Kitchen Porter, you should hold a valid food handler’s license and have proven experience in this area of work. Furthermore, you should be hygienic, detail-oriented and motivated individual. Your ability to work independently as well as collaboratively will be advantageous.

Wiping, sanitizing, and cleaning kitchen counters, sinks and walls
Sweeping and mopping the floor at the beginning and end of the shifts
Cleaning any food spills and stains
Washing utensils, cutlery, and cookware
Keeping the food storage areas clean and organized
Collecting and disposing garbage
Ensuring that the ingredient deliveries are done on time
Organizing the food supplies
Checking if equipment like food mixers and cookers are in working order and arranging for new ones
Assisting with food preparation tasks as and when required
Cleaning and organizing refrigerators and freezers on a timely basis
High School Diploma or GED
Holding a valid Food Handler’s license
Proven work experience in the Hospitality industry as a Kitchen Porter, Kitchen Assistant, or a similar role
Complete knowledge of the industry standards, health and safety regulations
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for long hours and work at flexible timings
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent hygiene standards
Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
A team player
Ability to handle stressful situations
