We are in search of a detail-oriented Material Handler to be a part of our Logistics department. You should be able to monitor and handle all the materials arriving at the production areas and loading docks. Also, you should be able to assist with the loading and unloading of materials and inventories.
As a part of your job responsibilities, you should be able to catalogue and stock inventories correctly. Besides, you should adhere to the safety and health regulations while at work. You will be coordinating your daily operations with the Materials Manager.
As a Materials Handler, you should have complete knowledge of the logistics processes and inventory management. Furthermore, you should be familiar with operating heavy machinery such as cranes and forklifts. You should display excellent physical dexterity and the ability to work for long periods of time.

Assisting in loading and unloading materials and inventory
Keeping track of all the materials arriving at loading docks and production areas
Checking if the delivered materials match the company’s purchase orders
Identifying, recording, and cataloguing all inventories
Maintaining a record of all the materials in production sheets
Operating heavy machinery such as cranes and forklifts as and when required
Monitoring the supply levels on a regular basis
Reviewing and making purchasing recommendations
Communicating with vendors about order pick-ups and deliveries
Adhering to the health and safety regulations at all times
Examining if all the materials meet quality standards
Checking if the materials are labeled and stored correctly
Coordinating day-to-day tasks with the Materials Manager
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field
1-3 years of work experience in the Logistics department as a Material Handler, Logistics Coordinator , or a similar position
OSHA certification is preferred
Complete knowledge of inventory management and logistics processes
Excellent physical dexterity
Good time management and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual
Ability to work for long and flexible hours
A team player and able to work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools especially Excel
Ability to offer excellent customer service
